The Tea-cup Cottage: Disability Support Services

Our Philosophy

At Tea-cup Cottage, our company philosophy is to always deliver uncompromised experiences to children and adults with disability

We believe that every small detail matters, which is why everything has been thoughtfully considered to ensure each and every person has an enjoyable and valuable experience that promotes personal growth.

From the furniture you find at each of our three unique respite care homes, right through to the quality of supports provided by our team, we promise to never compromise on quality.

The small touches are what makes our respite care locations feel like home and why our team of dedicated carers feel more like friends and family.

We put your values and beliefs at the core of everything we do and involve you at every stage of the decision-making process, ensuring you have complete control and choice over your supports.

Through this philosophy, we build meaningful and lasting relationships that foster an environment of supported learning so that our clients achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

The Tea-cup Cottage family

We believe in hiring experienced and caring team members who become part of the Tea-Cup family for the long term.

Staff who join the team stay with us and grow, allowing special bonds to flourish between our team members and our clients.

Delivering quality supports is about more than just helping you with your day-to-day activities. At Tea- Cup Cottage, we want to sing, chat and laugh with you at every step of the way. Even on the bad days, we’re always a shoulder you can cry on.

Your Tea-cup Cottage family is your number one supporter on this journey. We are there with you to inspire you, encourage you and celebrate every win, whether big or small.

Since our humble beginnings in 2010, we have grown to become a family of more than 300 Tea-cup Cottage team members who are dedicated and experienced individuals with a wide variety of skillsets and backgrounds.

By matching you with a team member who shares your values and interests and who is committed to being your partner on this journey, you can build a real connection that ensures your needs and wants are always heard and respected.

After more than 10 years of operation, Tea-cup Cottage now offers a wide range of supports including day programs, social events and weekend getaways, specialist disability accommodation.

Everyone on our team still follows the same caring and person-centred philosophy that Alex Shaw introduced to the disability sector back in 2010.

How we can help

The National Disability Insurance Scheme has dramatically changed the way people living with disability access their services and support with the introduction of NDIS plans.

At Tea-cup Cottage, our range of disability support services help you to make the most of our NDIS plan, provide you with safe and secure places to play and grow, and enable you to maintain your independence at home with a little helping hand.

Our focus is always on supporting you to live the life you want by providing the best possible disability support services that help achieve your goals.

We are a solutions-focused team dedicated to providing personalised support time after time. By taking the time to get to know you and your needs, listening to you and respecting your boundaries, we are always able to deliver the best possible supports.

We promise to always put our best foot forward and use our creative, outside-of-the-box thinking to find solutions to any problem.

I love your team approach and you are good people. I know that you want the best for me. I love your staff and feel like I am treated with decency and respect.

To the Tea-Cup team, you are all heroes in my book for taking such good care of my son, Michael. He loves going for his weekend breaks and he is so happy when he comes home to us each Monday.

- Katrina
