What is in-home support?
In-home support is a helping hand that allows you to continue living independently within your home while receiving support with day-to-day activities. Designed so that you can continue living where you love, whether that be with family, friends or alone, in-home support is tailored around your lifestyle and focuses on the areas in your life where you need extra support or would like to build capacity.
In-home support allows your family members to take a break from their caring duties to spend more quality time with you while enjoying peace of mind knowing that an experienced support worker is there for support. In-home support also allows individuals to build their independence. Whether it’s offering a helping hand around the home with washing and cooking, helping to manage your finances or providing assistance to get you to and from your regular community activities, in-home support will allow you to enjoy a fulfilling life on your terms.
In-home support is suitable for people living with a wide range of disabilities. We have an incredible array of support workers who have experience providing in-home support to people living with:
- Intellectual disabilities such as down syndrome, developmental delay and tuberous sclerosis
- Physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy
- Personality disorders and mood disorders such as depression and bipolar
- Sensory disabilities such as autism
